Demain est une île (Tomorrow is an island)
Villa Vassilieff, Paris

As a witness to the growing insularity of the spaces we inhabit (metropoles as much as refugee camps), Singaporean artist Shubigi Rao considers our cities with pessimism. The drawings she presents in the exhibition contemplate the impossibility to imagine our  future. Her work evokes the constant political and economic issues that prevent us from dreaming of any other alternatives.
